ONLY GOD CAN FILL YOUR EMPTINESS

Come reason and see
The simplicity in this mystery
Glamor, wealth, luxury, and fame
Still, the emptiness, guilt, shame, and pain
Flood gates of sorrow you fight so hard to hide
Cannot be masked with status, pomp, and pride
Pretending to be the very best
When alone, there’s no joy, no peace, no rest
The source that promised this wealth and fame
Omitted the rules of this wicked fame game
The dark one knocks timely on fame’s inviting door
Collecting what he has given, and so much more
What this dark source failed to tell you
Was to read the wisdom in Proverbs 10:22
All that is happening to you
Your fruits show who gave what to who
To gain the whole world and lose one’s mind
Is not the plan of the creator our beloved Divine
If peace, contentment, and joy flood your soul
Then it was granted to you, from the Divine Ancient One of Old
Present to Him, your heart, soul and will combine
Then prosperity, honor, and glory, you surely will find
No other source can fill you up
This is not about will, nor is it about luck
Taste and see that God’s words are true
Then sorrow and grief will flee from you
Choose God today, the choice is yours
Only He will fill full your emptiness.

EMUNAH’S CHILD

We acknowledge and believe this your report
That you have revealed to us, we do exhort
No outward beauty or majesty
Those persons would even gather to see
Rejected, despised, hated, and ignored
Not celebrated, honored, or much-adored
Though he bore our sorrow and our grief
He was derided and treated much like a thief
Thought him smitten of God, forsaken and afflicted
Crushed for our iniquities, the suffering inflicted
Pierced in his side, for all our sins to release
Wounded for our transgression, chastisement for our peace
His stripes were an exchange for our healing
Our destinies for sure that he was sealing
Like sheep, we have all gone astray
Each one has turned to his own selfish way
So the Lord laid on him our sins and iniquities
Knowing omnisciently, that his death was our victory
Neither violent nor deceitful, why then was he charged?
His authenticity mocked with vehement disregard
Accused and arrested his imprisonment unfair
Judgment, trials, his scourging like no other to compare
A sheep before the shearers he opened not his mouth
Like a lamb to the slaughter, they slapped him, spat, screamed, and shout
The most brutal punishment ever devised
For the guiltless one most unjustly despised
Psalm 22 speaks of what would happen to you
Hundreds of years before this event, who dare misconstrue
Stripped of your garments, nailed both your hands and your feet
Cast lots for your clothing, prophecy now complete
Bones out of joint, they gloated and glared with such cruelty
Painfully bearing it all, you fulfilled the written prophecy
Death on Golgotha, your innocent blood, the penalty to pay
God’s hatred for sin now redeemed and all washed away
Buried without honor in a sinner’s grave
Conquered death and hell for humanity to save
It was the Lord’s perfect will for you to die
For in 3 days your body temple did arise
All nations heard of your love, miracles, and fame
Therefore your suffering was not in vain
Among the powerful and the great
Today you own your rightful place
However, you are placed above them all
For your soul was the sacrifice for both great and small
Interceding as only you can do
Your righteousness, indeed qualifies you to
In your heavenly sanctuary way above
With mercy, grace, and your perfect love
This revelation is undefiled
Written with joy as Emanuah’s Child.

TAKING WHAT YOU TOOK FROM ME

You took from me what was not yours
It left me frightened and insecure
Back then I did not understand
I felt used, confused, and nearly damned
Thought for sure I was to blame
For the hatred, disgust, and the shame
As you took that part of me
You also stole my identity
Trying desperately to hide
The grief, the pain I bear inside
Isolating me from me
Threatening my security
Why should I carry your disdain?
You caused this cruelty, shame, and pain
No, not another day
Shall I allow this pain to stay
Those ugly things are long overdue
I will give it back to you
Now, I am finally free
Taking what you took from me

DIFFERENT IS BEAUTIFUL, RESPECT IT

Hello, TRADE GIRL SPEAKS here. My post today is about seeing the beauty in our differences. This is not easy for most of us to do, as we are most comfortable with sameness. Differences tend to place us on guard, instead of opening up our curiosity. This topic is dear to my heart, as it took me some time to truly understand, appreciate and value differences.
The most highly charged difference that constantly stares us in the face, is that of racial differences. Racial differences are sensitive, emotional, deeply entrenched in our psyche, and most challenging for people to accept. The different racial characteristics, skin colors, eye colors, hair textures, body types, and all other differences provide the perfect medley to separate us.
When society and the media use these differences to subtly, divide, disregard, and devalue the different, while glorifying the non-different, this creates the perfect atmosphere for IDOLATRY. Weaponized the differences progresses to denigration, oppression, suppression, then annihilating that which is different.
To be able to entertain a mindset reset, toward racial differences would be a place to start in respecting and understanding the difference. Truthful education and honest dialogs about the fears of each racial group would provide the platform that all groups could use to dispel their discomforts. Then, I believe we might be able to appreciate and see the beauty and reverence in all our differences.
I prefer to view racial groups metaphorically and think of them like gemstones.
All gemstones are beautiful and precious in their unique way. For example, a pearl is as precious as an onyx. A citrine is as beautiful as a ruby. They are all precious and when they are all placed together, their splendor becomes personified. It is time for our world to open their minds and view each other, not as colors to divide and deride but as gemstones. Most all of us love gemstones, people are more valuable than gemstones. Let us learn to love, accept and respect each other as we are divinely designed. The world would be a peaceful and more beautiful place to live if we do.
