ONLY GOD CAN FILL YOUR EMPTINESS

Come reason and see
The simplicity of this mystery
Glamor, wealth, luxury, and fame
Still, the emptiness, guilt, shame, and pain
Flood gates of sorrow you fight so hard to hide
Cannot be masked with status, pomp, and pride
Pretending to be the very best
When alone, there’s no joy, no peace, no rest
The source that promised this wealth and fame
Omitted the rules of his wicked fame game
The dark one knocks timely on fame’s inviting door
Collecting what he has given, and so much more
What this dark source failed to tell you
Was to read the wisdom in Proverbs 10:22
All that is happening to you
Your fruits show who gave what to who
To gain the whole world and lose one’s mind
Is not the plan of the creator our beloved Divine?
If peace, contentment, and joy flood your soul
Then it was granted to you, from the Divine Ancient One of Old
Present to Him, your heart, soul, and will combined
Then prosperity, peace, and honor, you surely will find
No other source can fill you up
This is not about will, nor is it about luck
Taste and see that God’s words are true
Then sorrow and grief will flee from you
Choose God today, the choice is yours
Only God can fill your emptiness.

IF I TOLD YOU WOULD YOU BELIEVE ME?

If I told you, would you believe me?
There is a war for your destiny
Your life is the battle between two kingdoms unseen
In the grand finale, you will wake up from this dream
Wake up to see the truth so vehemently ignored
In favor of the life this world, fanatically adored
Not worth it now that it is the end
Herewith the enemy you thought was your friend
Was sure you had won in your protest and dispute
Offended by those who spoke the gospel truth
Look at them now so joyful over there
Their eternal life in bliss they all do share
Rejoicing and singing, they all say Amen
For you, eternal damnation again and again
If you could have one more chance to be free
You would listen, hear, and believe me.

9 MINUTES IN THE MYSTERY

Glimpses of my destiny
He heard and he answered me
Transcending time, logic, and space
Held in his safe embrace
Our journey to places unknown
His presence, peace like a crescendo enthroned
Desiring to remain with him there
Where there is no thought, no fear, and no care
It was then that he said to me
Your work is there my sweet trustee
So this I must imbue
I share my encounter with you
To everything, there’s a season and a time
Mine exemplified in this rhyme
Divinity has visited me
It was 9 minutes in the mystery.

YOU ARE MORE THAN YOU THINK

We are so much more than we think
Not just a body, mind, or basic instinct
There’s an eternal spirit for you to declare
That’s waiting for you to embrace and share
He yearns to greet and show you
A very different and divine point of view
So listen, and go deep beyond your mind
There’s no telling the wonderful gifts you will find
The many treasure that lies deep within
Is that your heart’s your true friend that lives therein
Waiting ever so patiently for you
To recognize the blessings of its rendezvous
So still your mind, surrender to the spirit, and let go
And watch how the daily miracles flow
All because you now know that you are so distinct
You are more than you think.

HELL IS REAL, PLEASE DON’T GO THERE

Life was beautiful had every luxury on earth
Fame, wealth, power, respect, and all that it’s worth
Had no thought of either heaven or hell
Was a myth for the weak, not more to tell
Heart closed to hearing the salvation of God’s word
Denied, ignored, everything that was heard
Proudly adored and believed only in oneself
Why believe the good news or anyone else
Felt an emptiness though having it all
Obtaining more or more instead of the gospel call
Now in a place of fear and utter torment
The result of being disobedient
Many gave an account and warning of this place
Not made for any of the human race
In hindsight, it would have been easier to believe
Instead of living in a place one can never leave
None should ever find themselves there
Where it is all too much for one to bear
Look around so many surprisingly seen
Some pastors, Christians, and millions of others do scream
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus you indeed are Lord
The only one who ought to be adored
Oh, but now it’s far too late
Time ran out and heaven sealed the gate
Separated forever from love and light
Darkness eternal both day and night
This is for all eternity
The enemy now has company
Repent, repent while you’re still alive
Now is the time, hell you can deprive
Let not, lies, deception, and doubt ensnare
Hell is real, please do not go there.

WHY DOES THAT MAKE SENSE TO YOU?

For the heat of the sun, they are made to pay your dues
From the frost of the cold, they can’t refuse
On this continent, you gladly experiment
Perfectly exacting your regiment
Then you publish your essay
Conveniently forgetting the part you play
Tuskegee lives on though most forget
Modern-day targets still blind to the threat
Do you think this won’t come back to you?
The clandestine methods and who you choose
People are people no matter their face
Not to test, or denigrate because of their race
SURELY THIS MUST HAVE OCCURRED TO YOU
Now why does that make sense to you?

BEYOND THE EYES

Some eyes can see great mysteries
Beyond life’s veiled complexities
Some eyes can see so much more
They see beyond the distant shore
Some eyes light up every space
With just a gaze they share their grace
Some eyes look deep into your soul
Some eyes just never ever grow old
Some eyes can see so much more
What others choose to ignore
But what is so true to me
Blessed are the eyes that truly see.

YOU ARE DIFFERENT TOO

Yes, you are different from me
There’s no need for superiority
For in my eyes, you are different too
Now, what exactly should we do?
How silly it must be
To use this difference to separate you from me
If you look closely you will find
There’s more in common that we have in kind
We feel love just like you
We feel pain just like you
We cry tears just like you
We bleed like you do too
We laugh just like you
We feel joy just like you
We breathe air just like you
We want the best things in life as you do
We want to be free just like you
That makes us a lot like you
So what does it matter the color of your hair
It’s much like the clothes you wear
What does it matter the color of your eyes
They’re nature’s grandeur in disguise
Now you speak of the color of our skin
This is where the disparity begins
Skin my dear is like the clothes you wear
Yellow, White, Brown, Black no reason to compare
Go beyond the color of your skin
This is when everyone truly wins
In life, there are differences you see
This is what makes life sacred and a mystery
More like treasures to explore
Not to damage, hate, and ignore
So when you see someone different from you
Remember that you are different too
The question that’s up for review
Is who’s looking at who?

HOW YOU APPROACH ME (BEYOND THE VEIL)

This is what you fail to see
When you look that way at me
Missing what I’m all about
Your eyes, your lust, they scream they shout
My beauty is not for sale
No price will ever prevail
I won’t be your conquest
Know for sure I am not impressed
I’m a woman self-possessed
So I will leave you no access
You are not my destiny
Divinity has gifted me my femininity
Here now is the key
Think twice about how you approach me.

WRONG TIME, WRONG PERSON BUT THE RIGHT PLACE

Destiny depends on time and place
There lies the mystery of the fulfillment of space
When interrupted by invisible forces unforeseen
The wrong person appears and enters the scene
Life then becomes a series of anomalies
No ease, no flow, due to the contrived perplexities
Divinity orchestrates a second chance
No delays, no errors, no hindrances, no happenstance
Time heals and corrects with its perfected grace
Right time, right person, and the right place
